In Japan Valentine’s Day, February 14th is a very unique event that women gift chocolates to men. .
日本では２月１４日のバレンタインデーは女性が男性にチョコレートを贈るというとてもユニークな行事です。
There are two types chocolates, “Honmei-choco” and “Giri-choco” (obligation chocolate).
チョコレートには、”本命チョコ”と”義理チョコ”の２種類あります。
Homei-choco is given to a boyfriend, lover, or husband with true love.
本命チョコは、本当に好きなボーイフレンド、恋人、または夫に贈られます。
On the other hand, giri-choco (obligation chocolate) is given to friends, coworkers and bosses without romantic feelings.
一方、義理チョコは、恋愛感情のない友達や、同僚、上司に贈られます。

日本では、バレンタインデーのちょうど１ヶ月後の３月１４日は、ホワイトデーと呼ばれています。
